About PELA

Mission

Educating & Equipping the Next Generation of Leaders

Why it Matters

Liberty is not self-sustaining. It must be learned, lived, and defended. PELA exists to ensure the values that built the greatest nation on earth are understood and upheld by tomorrow’s leaders.

About Pearson & Eby

Named in honor of Kansas Policy Institute founders George Pearson and Martin Eby, PELA is dedicated to preserving our constitutional republic by educating and inspiring the next generation of leaders.

What We Do

Through a dynamic lecture series, PELA will:

  • Provide a deep, academic grounding in the principles of liberty and constitutional governance
  • Expose how these principles are applied — and too often misused — in modern policymaking
  • Equip and encourage citizens to serve in local, state, and federal office with these enduring values as their guide.
